Procedure Information
Double eyelid surgery:
Two to six days in area, depending on surgical method used.
Nose surgery:
Six days in area.
Cheekbone reduction:
Five days in area. May require one night of nursing.
Jaw shaving:
Six days in area. May require one night of nursing.
Non-surgical jaw reduction:
May return home on same day.
Liposuction:
5-7days following the procedure
Rhinoplasty Aftercare Instructions
How do I clean my nose?
- Soak Q-Tips in hydrogen peroxide and dab on the incision areas only if bloody or crusty.
- Peroxide can be stopped once all scabs are removed from the incision line.
- Using new Q-Tips, apply Bacitracin Ointment or Mupirocin ointment to the incision area. Repeat 2-3 times daily for 5-7 days.
Can I wear glasses/sunglasses?
Glasses/Sunglasses can be worn if taped to forehead avoiding pressure on the nose bridge for 1 month after surgery.
Sleeping position?
- Light exercise like walking can be resumed after 2 weeks. Don’t lift heavy objects and don’t bend over.
- It is recommended to wait a full month before your normal workout.
What do I do if I’m congested?
Breathing may be difficult due to the congestion. Saline nasal spray may be used to flush out the nose. AVOID BLOWING YOUR NOSE. Apply gauze under the nose as needed to catch the blood and drainage.
How do I care for my nose cast?
Avoid getting the cast wet and avoid steam as it loosens the cast and will fall off. We will remove the cast for you.
Can I take a shower?
You may take a shower the day after surgery. DO NOT get your face wet. Tilt your head back when washing hair.
Which stitches are dissolvable?
The inside stitches are dissolvable. The external stitches need to be removed in the office a week after surgery.
What will stitch removal be like?
We will apply numbing cream prior to removing your stitches. You may take the prescribed pain medication or Tylenol one hour before coming in.
When can I apply Mupirocin?
Mupirocin should be applied from surgery day to stitch removal and up until you start using scar gel.
When can I apply scar gel?
Scar gel can be applied 10-14 days after stitch removal.
What can I eat and drink?
Avoid salty foods to decrease swelling. NO alcohol for 2 weeks.
How long do I need to stay in the area after surgery?
Although individual cases may vary, the average amount of time you will need to stay in the area following your nose surgery is six days.
Brow Lift Aftercare Instructions
Things to buy
- 2×2 or 4×4 Gauze
- Q-tips
- Hydrogen Peroxide
- Arnica Supplements (optional) – assists with swelling and bruising – over the counter
How do I clean the incision sites?
Using a q-tip and hydrogen peroxide, gently roll saturated Q-tip across the suture line to remove dried blood and crust. Make sure there is no more blood on top of your stiches before your stitch removal appointment.
When can I remove the bandages?
After surgery, head and hair will be wrapped with bandages. Please do not remove them. We will unwrap them the next day when you come in for your follow up appointment.
When can I wash my hair?
You MUST wash your hair the next day. You may make a hair wash appointment at a salon or have someone assist you very carefully.
How long will swelling and numbness last?
Swelling and numbness may last for several months. It’s the body’s natural reactions to healing and will get better day by day.
When will I see full results from surgery?
It may take 6-9 months to see full results from surgery and gain complete feeling.
When can I exercise?
You may ease into exercising at the 2-week mark and resume full exercise by the month mark.
Sleeping position?
Sleep on your back at a 30-degree angle for two weeks to help decrease the swelling. Avoid sleeping on the sides of your face.

Facelift Aftercare Instructions

- Arnica Supplements (optional) -helps with swelling and decreasing – over the counter
- Compression Garment for face may be required
When can bandages be removed?
Bandages will be removed when you come in for your follow up appointment.
How long will I need to wear the compression garment?
Compression garment should be worn 24 hours for the first week and 12 hours for the second week. You may wear it more if you’re able to for the swelling.
How long will the swelling last?
The swelling may be present for several months as the body heals. Swelling will start decreasing by the 2nd week and improve day by day.
When can I exercise?
You may ease into exercising at the 2-week mark and resume full exercise by the month mark.

The drains will be removed based on how much drainage there is. It’s usually removed the day after or the 2nd day. The drain should be emptied when it becomes half full.
When can I shower?
Careful showering is permitted. Don’t get the incision areas wet for the first two days. You may use a washcloth to wipe your face. Take a shower after your stitch removal appointment.
Breast Augmentation Aftercare Instructions

When can bandages be removed?
Chest and breasts will be wrapped in bandages. We will remove them for you at your follow up appointment. Don’t shower or bathe and don’t remove them yourself.
Can I raise my arms/ lift stuff?
Don’t raise your arms or push or pull anything for 2 weeks. Don’t carry anything heavier than 10 pounds for 2 weeks.
What kind of bra can I wear?
Wireless bra may be worn AFTER bandages are removed.
How will I feel after the surgery?
Immediately after the surgery, your chest and breasts may feel very tight. You might also feel pressure and soreness.
Will I swell and bruise?
Bruising and swelling is common and expected. It can be present for several months and should decrease day by day.
How will the breasts look right after surgery?
Your breasts may look higher than usual. This is considered normal, and it will drop over the next 6 months.
How long will it take to see full results?
It may take 6-9 months to see full results from the surgery. It may take few months to gain complete feeling in the incision area.
When can I exercise?
Refrain from any exercise for 2 weeks.
Sleeping position?
Sleep at a 30-degree angle to help decrease swelling. Avoid sleeping on your sides.
How do I clean the incision area?
Please clean incision areas with Hydrogen Peroxide using q-tips to break up any blood or crusts. Discontinue using peroxide once scabs are no longer present.
How do I apply the ointment?
Allow to the hydrogen peroxide to dry and then apply ointment using fresh q-tips. Apply ointment 2-3 times a day for 5-7 days.

Stitches will be removed 5-7 days after surgery. You may take Tylenol or the prescribed pain medication an hour before the stitch removal.
When can I apply scar cream?
Scar cream may be applied 10-14 days after stitch removal.
When can I shower?
You may take a shower avoiding the stitch areas. Once the stitches are removed, showering is permitted. Incision areas should be cleaned gently as it can reopen if treated roughly.
